Our Requirements

The health and safety of pets are our priority. Knowing the dietary needs, exercise restrictions, or required medications for your pet helps us provide the best quality experience. Barkybarns wants to ensure that all your pet needs are taken care of during our visits.

Vaccinations must be administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian. However, we prefer vaccinations to be administered 10 days before check-in. Written proof is required.  

DPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza)

1 or 3-yr. vaccine required

Bordetella

Required every 12 months (or as required under the applicable law of your jurisdiction or residence) and at least 48 hours before check-in to ensure maximum efficiency and protection against Kennel Cough. Please note that many veterinarians administer this vaccine only by request.

Rabies

1 or 3-yr. vaccine required. *Rabies per local ordinance

In addition to vaccinations, all dogs should be flea and tick-free. 

Our Barkybarns Crew members who wish to stay with us for  our services must be at least four months of age.

Please have these filled out and printed before staying with us!

We require all pets to be potty trained! Puppies with potty schedules are ok. 

All walk clients need to be leash trained. No exceptions. If your dog pulls on the leash or cannot be controlled on a leash we will not walk your dog. This is for our safety. If your dog is reactive in any way please let us know. Failure to do so will result in a fee. 

Barkybarns prides itself on being a company that you can trust. Dogs in our care will be treated as if they are our own. We pride ourselves on taking the best care of your pets. Please let us know of any health conditions or medical issues your pet has before our visits to ensure that we are taking the best care of your pet. 

Barkybarns needs to know the dates before walks and drop-in services. We will not accept any last-minute/day before clients! We will not save spots if not given enough advance time. We cannot promise you a spot if you do not have a date. No Exceptions! Emergency and last-minute walk and drop in's will be charged accordingly. 

Cancelations must be made at least an hour before set times/dates for walks and drop-ins. 

Failure to provide notice of cancellations in advance will result in a fee! 

($5 for walks and drop in's)
